According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the Japanese American population has the highest proportion of multiracials in the entire pan-Asian American group.

Honolulu, Hawai'i is the only metropolitain area where Japanese Americans outnumber any other ethnicity

2 out of 5 Japanese Americans identify as multracial

3 out of 50 Japanese Americans identify as Japanese and another pan-Asian ethnic group (ex. Japanese and Vietnamese, etc)

17 out of 50 Japanese Americans identify as Japanese and a non-Asian ethnic group (ex. Japanese and Mexican, etc)
